We live in end times: The end of truth. The end of freedom. The end of sanity.
This is the era of universal mandatory propaganda, lies, deceit, insanity, and the complete perversion of truth on all levels.
Our citizens are sheep, trained from birth to hear only their masters, believe whatever patently absurd nonsense they are told, and obey without question whatever evil orders they are given. Above all, they are conditioned NEVER to think for themselves, under any circumstances. The great bulk of what they believe is deliberate misinformation and vicious falsehood carefully designed to keep them stupid, misinformed, and powerless. The most depraved and powerful criminals run our society, and make rules for honest citizens. Social advancement requires aggressive stupidity and criminal behavior. The penalties for free thought and free speech are compounding daily, along with the error of our collective ways.
In spite of this, an isolated individual occasionally manages to build a raft of truth on this sea of lies. Sometimes, in spite of great danger, someone even courageously speaks his truth to his fellow man. Usually they are ignored, scorned, ridiculed, threatened, castigated, sued, fined, punished, imprisoned, beaten, maimed or murdered: as kooks, crackpots, amateurs, idiots, know-nothings, paranoids, delusionists, lunatics, extremists, hate criminals, child molesters, or terrorists.
In a way, this is true.
The powers that be live in TERROR OF TRUTH. THEY are the real HATE CRIMINALS, as they HATE the TRUTH and make IT a CRIME. As George Orwell said, "In an age of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."
The revolutionary individuals who wield this mighty sword of truth and hack away at the gordian knot of ignorance and lies binding us in slavery are my personal heroes, and our last best hope for non-extinction as sentient beings.
They are almost all uniformly unauthorized, undelegated, unlicensed, unacknowledged, untenured, unapproved, unaccredited, unassociated, unsponsored, unfunded, unsupported, unrepentant and unequalled. They are often unemployed. When employed, they almost always do Something Else for a living. They lack staff. They don't ask permission, they don't need it, and they don't want it. They have something no person, church, corporation, association or government can give them; they have their own gods, their own truth, and their own certainty. If you are very lucky, they may share their truth with you.

There are no free trips to Sweden, no prestigious chairs at major universities, no photo opportunities with partially clad starlets, no generous cash grants, no dinners at the White House, no lucrative corporate contracts, no book deals, and not even a snappy certificate with a gold frame and fancy calligraphy to hang on your wall and impress people.
The only thing they receive is acknowledgement at this web site, and the right to truthfully proclaim they have indeed been awarded The Nobul Prize for Exceptional Contribution to Truth.
The prize is not awarded at any regular interval. There are no divisions, subjects or categories. There are no entry forms or eligibility requirements. There is no contest and no deadline. There is only one unrelenting demand:
